New Boats, Modifications, its a busy time for all

I haven’t done one of these in a while and there is a lot going on vessel wise in the gulf.

Just inbound this evening was another HOSMAX 320 from VT Halter, the HOS Carolina

Also recently announced was a vessel purchase from Bollinger Shipyards sister Company Bee Mar. The vessels included are four 300ft class and three 270ft class PSVs. The buyer is non other than Edison Chouest Offshore.

It isn’t all new builds though. Many vessels are getting modifications to make them suited for a new contract or task. The Sisauq owned by HGIM, is getting a heli pad installed, as well as some back deck platforms with an as of yet unknown purpose. The HOS Achiever recently underwent a significant make over that included finally being painted in HOS livery, and the modifications to make her into a Flotel. Connor Bordelon the new flagship of Bordelon Marine, appears to have had fraq equipment put on her back deck now for Baker Hughes.

    It is an exciting time in the GOM! I got on with HOS and I will be headed to the HOS Greystone next week. See you around Fourchon.
