Summer Time

Well the past week and a half home as been a complete whirlwind of activity here in New England. The therapist and I are enjoying the vacation time and have been going from one event to another on a rather packed social and personal calendar. We have caught up with quite a few friends and it has been a pleasant change to go out and do couple type things with other couples. With both of our work schedules it has been hard this past year for us to do a lot of the typical date nights and big events together. For example, I was away for both her birthday and my own, missing those days meant some special nights to be planned and the flexibility to have both of our birthdays when we say it is!
I can’t complain at all, we have had amazing weather since I have been home and I feel like its been years since last summer. This year is of course a big change though with having Safari in the water and that special someone to actually share things with. More about Safari in another post.
Yesterday we took a trip down to Falmouth for a charter fishing trip I had arranged for the two of us. The therapist has never caught a fish and it became a personal mission of mine to make it happen this summer. I turned to an old lacrosse friend from my youth, Captain Cullen Lundholm of who hooked us up with a fantastic striper and flounder trip. My ability to catch fish is no very in question, however my other half is a real killer. She hooked up on several large striper and we kept a pair of keepers for this evening’s meal with some friends. The charter was a blast and I highly recommend you check out Cullen’s website at the above link and give him a call if you want to catch anything from flounder to tuna.
