Carnival Triumph……in the news again

As many news outlets are reporting, including the ever quick to the story GCaptain (which has details including video here), the cruise ship Carnival Triumph broke its lines yesterday at the BAE dock in Mobile. She struck a dry dock housing a tanker, and at one point was laying against the USCAE dredge Wheeler. One worker was reported missing and she has since been towed and secured to a different pier.

A friend from school is on the tanker in dry dock across the harbor and has been blowing up Facebook with video of the Triumph striking the dry dock and reportedly holing it. It is his cell phone video that’s is featured on GCaptain.

Never a boring day in the industry.
