HMS Bounty, the aftermath

I went offshore for a run to the rig Monday not knowing the outcome of the rescue operations surrounding the Bounty. I got an email from a friend just after we headed out saying they still has two crew missing and I came inshore to find out the tragic news that one of the crew members, Claudene Christian, had passed. In addition the vessels master is still listed as missing. The two crew members I know both are safe, and after seeing the video of the rescue, we can definitely thank the USCG and gumby suits for that. Also released by the USCG are these two images of the final moments of the vessel.

I’ll wait till more details are released to offer my opinion on this incident, however one only has to visit the HMS Bounty and Hurricane Sandy thread on the gcaptain forums to get the general consensus on this tragedy.
